About Us

Amazing Grace Leicester is one of the parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Amazing Grace Leicester is a family church. However, being located in a university town, we also have a sizeable student contingent made up of students from different regions of the UK and international students. Over the years, a number of our student members have continued on in Leicester and the church is blessed with many young families living and/or working in and around the region, as well as with ‘grandparent-figures’. 

The church held its first service at the Goodwood Neighbourhood Centre on Sunday the 16th of November, 1997 and went on to meet at various locations including Methodist Church Uppingham road and the University of Leicester Chaplaincy before moving to the current site, Brice Memorial Hall, Queens road, in 2001. AGP was under the pastoral guidance of Pastor Babatunde Isiaka (Baba) from its inception until January 2013, from which time Pastor Demola Obembe has been the pastor in charge.
