Our Story
Amazing Grace Leicester is more than just a church-it’s a family. We bring together people from all walks of life: local residents, young professionals, families, and a dynamic community of students from across the UK and around the world. Our doors are open to everyone, whether you’re new to Leicester, here for your studies, or have lived in the city for years
Who We Are
Our journey began on Sunday, 16th November 1997, with our very first service at the Goodwood Neighbourhood Centre. Over the years, we’ve been blessed to gather in several places, including the Methodist Church on Uppingham Road and the University of Leicester Chaplaincy. In 2001, we moved to Brice Memorial Hall on Queens Road, where we grew and served the community for over two decades.
In October 2022, by God’s grace, we were able to purchase our own church building at 107 Westcotes Drive—our permanent home and a new chapter in our mission.
Our Community
Being in a university city, we’ve been blessed with a vibrant student community over the years, with many coming from across the UK and around the world, adding to the rich diversity of our church. Today, our congregation continues to thrive with a wonderful mix of young and middle-aged families, professionals, and caring ‘grandparent-figures’ who offer wisdom, encouragement, and a strong sense of belonging.

We believe in the power of prayer, the importance of community, and the transformation that comes from living out our faith every day. Our worship is heartfelt, our teaching is rooted in the Bible, and our fellowship is genuine and inclusive
